If you're simply transferring media files across then it's perfectly fine to FTP whilst running xbmc4xbox.2) In the video I recommend using the latest nightly builds from xbmc4which at the time was completely correct. But Kodi is perhaps best known as the go to app for piracy due to a wide variety of plugins that let you illegally stream television shows, professional sports, and films from the comfort of your living room. This has led to a cottage industry of so-called "Kodi boxes," often built around cheap HDMI dongles like Amazon's Fire TV sticks. It has evolved a great deal since then, becoming a favorite for cord-cutters and media enthusiasts everywhere.Update December 29, 2017: Kodi appears to be rolling out on a region-by-region basis as of writing, with availability starting in Europe. Update December 29, 2017: Kodi now seems to be available worldwide. Kodi appeared on Xbox One today as part of what appears to be a soft-launch or alpha phase (), supporting what appears to be, a full raft of features from the Windows 10 Store version, including all those pesky add-ons everybody except the entertainment industry loves.Or on the main page or in the top, between "Forum" and "Download" as Videos And also think there should be a Q&A for this.Because I see a lot of new topics about updating XBMC.
I think this should be a sticky for the XBMC4XBOX forum.
What you don't want to do is copy over your userdata as it can cause problems.
Generally it's ok but if you're coming from a very old build it will cause all sorts of problems in the future, also there are some newer builds that have had this issue too so I just find it easier not to copy it over which will mean you need to set all your preferences and settings again in xbmc4xbox.
The Xbox One Media player is so far behind the launch media player with the 360, Some of my issues with it; 1.
It only plays videos, you can't turn it off and resume later, it just plays them from the start. It automatically plays the next Video, how annoying, I want to watch a movie from my Movies folder than It just plays the next one. It only has pause, fast forward and rewind options, the 360 had subtitles, screen size options for stretch and wide, info on the video, how long remaining. I have to browse through unnecessary folders, Computer/Videos/Folders/Videos/ Only 4 clicks but the Xbox 360 would just open up my Videos folder first time.
